We had another OB appointment today and she told us things are starting to happen. I am dilated almost 2 centimeters, which can go on for awhile, but was exciting to hear. One step closer to Baby's arrival!
When we saw the OB 2 weeks ago, she put me on bedrest for a couple of days because my blood pressure was creeping up and my swelling had worsened a lot. She also told me I could only work part-time until my last day on October 17th. I have been closely monitoring my pressures and putting my feet up at home, and I checked out fine today.
The big news we got today is that the OB is going to induce Baby Grabinski on Thursday, October 26!! As of 37 weeks the baby is considered full term, and the 26th marks 38 and 1/2 weeks so Baby will be fully developed and ready to meet us! Since I am pretty uncomfortable, the baby is pretty big, and my body is already getting ready to have the baby, the OB doesn't think it is necessary to prolong things.
I haven't been feeling well for the last week or so, and after the visit today I really feel yucky. Baby may decide to come on his or her own before the 26th! We are so happy to know that our wait will be over soon (less than 2 weeks) and we can finally meet our beautiful baby!!!

Emma Katherine Grabinski was born at 8:25 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2006. She is a big girl at 9 lbs. 4oz. and 21 inches! Click on her picture to the left to see more from the last couple days.
