RMG Baby Shower

Saturday was our second Baby Shower, thrown by the girls at my work. It was a shower for me and another nurse from my office, Krista, who is due to deliver a little boy, Brock, one month before me. I had a great time, once again spoiled rotten by all my friends! We are very fortunate to have people care so much about us and our baby.

4-D Ultrasound

Saturday we had a 4-D Ultrasound! The pictures weren't perfectly clear because the baby covered his or her face for a while and didn't want to cooperate, but we did get a few great face shots! The baby already has the cutest features: a tiny little nose, chubby cheeks, and puckered up lips. I think the baby is going to look like Jim!

This week the baby is really dancing in my tummy. If I lift my shirt to expose my tummy, usually in the evening after dinner, the baby is doing acrobatics in there and you can watch my tummy move in waves back and forth. Jim laughs so hard when he sees this! It tickles so much that I have to laugh, too. Sometimes we can get the baby to play with us. When we push on a spot we know will touch the baby, he or she will push or kick back. It's pretty amazing, must be a genius!

We have an exciting day coming up this weekend, too. We are having a 4-D ultrasound on Saturday. We get to see all the detailed features (above the waist, of course) and watch the baby move around in there for 30 minutes. They make us a DVD to share. We will post pictures from this on the website next week.

LaPorte Weekend

We had our first Baby Shower in LaPorte last weekend. My mom, sister, and friends hosted it. We had a lot of fun celebrating our baby with our family and friends. Quite a few people were able to join us, and we are very blessed to be so loved (and spoiled)! We are grateful to everyone who made that day so special.

That evening, we attended my 10 year LaPorte High School reunion. It was really nice to catch up with friends I hadn't seen in a long time, many of them for 10 years! I was proud to show off my cute husband and my belly and to share what wonderful things have happened since then. I loved to see pictures of classmates' babies, meet their husbands, and hear about the success they have had. The best part is that I am now in touch with some of my friends again that I had lost over the years!

Christening Gown/Romper

We shipped my wedding gown to a seamstress in Iowa to make a Christening gown and romper. Our friend Tammy gave us this wonderful idea. I'm a little sad to cut up my gown, but it will be such a great keepsake. We're having both the romper and the gown made since we don't know if we're having a boy or a girl.
